Join the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board for a high-energy, joy-filled celebration of Neighborhood Day at The Commons, on Saturday, May 2, from 1 pm to 4 pm!
As part of the International Line Dance Flashmob 2026, neighbors from downtown and across the Twin Cities—and around the world—will come together to move, connect, and have fun through dance. This all-abilities event is welcoming to everyone, whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just curious to try something new.
The event will be led by Deena Broaddus and supported by 17 incredible Twin Cities line dance instructors. Participants will learn and dance award-winning routines in sync with communities across the globe, all while supporting the Line Dance Foundation. The event is presented in partnership with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and Downtown Parks.
🎉 DMNA will be onsite celebrating Neighborhood Day!
Neighborhood Day is a city-wide celebration designed to bring Minneapolis residents together, welcome new faces, and help neighbors connect with their local neighborhood organization. Across the city, neighborhood groups host fun and engaging activities — from potlucks and plant swaps to community clean-ups and social gatherings.
